The Bible is God’s perfect Word and our sure foundation. Unlike many today, we are not, “Tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine” (Eph. 4:14), but are firmly built upon God’s Holy Word, written and preserved for us. “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever” (Ps. 12:6-7). Indeed, “One jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” (Matt. 5:18).

The Bible is not another religious book, but the very words of the Creator King and Lord of glory. The Bible is the true story of man’s Total Depravity and God’s Sovereign Grace. It is the greatest textbook and highest authority. It is truer than true and more perfect than perfect. It is completely and totally sufficient (Ps. 19:7-11, Luke 16:29-31, 2 Tim. 3:16-17). “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Pet. 1:3).

At Lord of the Harvest Church, we do not question the sufficiency of Scripture. Instead we ask, “What saith the Scripture?” (Rom. 4:3). In the end, it is all that really matters. Feelings and whims do not define truth. He who is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE does (John 14:6). Everything we do has the Bible at its heart. For it is God’s heart, and the only hope for our own. We read, study, and sing the Scriptures together. We rejoice and fellowship in them. We say yes to all God has said.
